Modeling The Human Ear

November 24, 2011 in Modeling, Tutorials

This Tutorial is done in blender 2.6 but the method shown can be followed in most 3D modeling apps.

In this video I show how to easily model an ear which is usually a quite daunting task. In planning for this tutorial I modeled about 50 ears. After modeling lots of ears I was able to come up with a speedy process hopefully saving others from headaches and hours of time. When modeling the ear in this tutorial some may wonder why I didn’t tweak the back of the ear model giving it the hill that ears have on the backside. Heres why: while attaching it to the head the back of the ear can easily be messed up causing you the need to redo some of your hard work. That said, I would suggest leaving the back until you have it on your head model. For best luck look at lots of reference images and study them!

I wish you all best of luck! Sincerely Joshua Alger

Modeling The Human Head

November 22, 2011 in Modeling, Tutorials

This video teaches a fast and affective way to model a human head with good topology. I developed this method over the course of a couple months, so hopefully you’ll like it. My record modeling a head with this method is 7 minuets and 38 secondeds.
